Nearly 300 exhibitors will be on hand for homeowners to find solutions to all their landscaping and remodeling needs with everything from patios & vegetable gardening to kitchens and garage makeovers; plus inspiration for all their design and gardening dreams.  Remodelers will help with interior renovation plans, designers will talk through the best way to update those 80’s harvest gold kitchen appliances and builders are ready to turn unfinished concrete basements into amazing functional living spaces.


Enjoy the inspiration of a dozen beautiful Indoor Gardens, by award winning local landscapers, that will include thousands of blooming perennials and annuals, shrubs and trees, ponds and water features.


Lansing State Journal Family Day is Saturday and Children (under 15) are free until noon!  Special hands-on gardening, cooking and building activities happen through-out the morning.


Fantastic Seminars

  • The “Plant Michigan Green” Garden Stage, includes dozens of expert seminars, by members of the MI Nursery and Landscape Association and MSU Extension Master Gardeners.
  • Melinda Myers, Gardening Expert and contributing editor at Birds & Blooms magazine headlines the Garden Stage Friday & Saturday and shares her wisdom on low maintenance perennial gardens that pack a punch, and creating unique container gardens!
  • Chef Campbell teaches how to make Crostini, Bruschetta, and Modern Fancy Toasts on The Cooking Stage. He will take delicious toppings and spreads from fresh, healthy ingredients and perfectly combine them with a variety breads, elevating a humble staple to new culinary heights.
  • The Home Stage features Kate Wert, a professional organizer and decluttering expert. Whether it’s an unruly junk drawer or an entire unmanageable basement, Kate’s seminars are sure to help and motivate. Plus, Home Stage favorite, Interior Designer Leslie Hart-Davidson will be on hand to help improve and beautify our freshly organized spaces!


Standard Flower Show — “Gourmet Gardening” is the largest Flower Show in Michigan.  Presented by Federated Garden Clubs of Michigan, Inc. District IIB, this show within a show includes dozens of spectacular flower designs, over 100 horticulture entries and a photography contest.
