About Leslie

Leslie Hart-Davidson is a nationally recognized professional interior designer, author, speaker, foodie and owner of HDD Studios in Michigan. Leslie holds a B.A. in interior design and has over two decades of industry experience. She credits her family for the desire to enter the world of design because the Hart family practiced real estate flipping while she was a child. Much like the early calling for home improvement, Leslie’s fondest early memories involved cooking, gathering and eating with relatives. Food was a love language with as much nuance as design, so she proudly continues that tradition with friends and family to this day.
Leslie lives and breathes both interior and kitchen design not only in her successful design business, but also through monthly pre-pandemic live tv segments on WZZM’s My West Michigan. She wrote two home improvement books full of snark and great content: Remodeling Your House without Killing Your Spouse and It’s Not Your Room, it’s You.
The loss of many of Leslie’s beloved relatives over the last decade stirred her to honor their encouragement of design and cooking by entering a pie in the county fair. Winning a blue ribbon had been a bucket list item for years, but Leslie was absolutely tickled when her Black & Blueberry Pie won Best in Show at the Livingston County Fair in 2019.
The life philosophy that Leslie holds dear is this: Give. When in doubt, give more. This guiding principle is the motivation behind her desire to share knowledge freely with audience members during headlining gigs at regional Home Shows and national stage presentations multiple times at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show. Leslie also encourages décor-savvy homeowners and budding foodies to take action with her HDD Studios Official YouTube channel.
Leslie lives in a Civil War-era farmhouse in Michigan with her husband, kid, hilarious pets and a kickass kitchen.
