Recognizes West Michigan Automotive Supplier
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Rapids New Car Dealers Association (GRNCDA) is excited to announce Magna as the recipient of its 2019 “Celebration of Innovation: Automotive Supplier of the Year” award. The award was presented to Keith Foote, Vice President of Global Engineering for Magna Mirrors, during the January 30 VIP Reception, held prior to the Charity Spectacular Preview for the 2019 Michigan International Auto Show.
“I am always in awe of the entrepreneurial spirit and innovative companies that live here in our home-town,” says George Sharpe Jr., president of the GRNCDA. “Local companies are developing the latest technologies that make vehicles all around the globe more stylish, efficient and safe.
“One way we can express our gratitude to these companies is with the GRNCDA Celebration of Innovation award, which recognizes West Michigan automotive suppliers that play an integral part and have a positive impact in our industry. Magna, right here in Kentwood, is one of those companies.”
Magna is a company of entrepreneurs dedicated to delivering new mobility solutions. The company is a leading full system supplier for innovative mirror and vision systems to the global automotive industry, with a significant presence in West Michigan. As mirrors have increasingly become a prime location for increased feature integration, electronics have enabled them to transform into vision systems – offering increased safety and style. A two-time Automotive News PACE Award winner for its mirror technologies, innovation is at the core of everything Magna does.
“It’s an honor to receive this recognition,” said Keith Foote, Vice President of Global Engineering for Magna Mirrors. “Through the innovative spirit of our employees and ongoing collaboration with our customers, we are proud to provide smart, highly-engineered vision systems that help improve safety, styling and the driving experience.”
